Jacquetta Farrar — Overview

Jacquetta Farrar is a multi-hyphenate creative who hails from Newark, NJ. She is based in LA/NYC and is the founder of the Black Lens & Pens Writers Group. Jacquetta is repped by The Option Agency and by Simmons and Scott Management. Holding a Master of Arts from NYU Tisch and an MBA from Rutgers.

Jacelyn Johnson — Overview

Jacelyn P. Johnson is a multi-hyphenate creative based out of The Twin Cities and Los Angeles, CA. She manages BERI, an International Nigerian musician. She runs a production studio, JahPenée Productions. Jacelyn also serves on Minnesota Film & TV Board of Directors, Chair of Walker West | Music Academy Program Committee, and more.

Livingston Steele — Overview

Livingston Steele is a multi-hyphenate creative based out of Newark, NJ, and New York City, NY. He created The Theory of Brick City Music, which evolved into The Brick City Jam. He is also the founder of Artillery Creative. He’s managed by State Management.

The Black Lens and Pens Group

The group was formed to create its own space in the entertainment industry. When doors don’t open, you build your own. That’s what the Black Lens & Pens group is all about.

The mission was formed back in 2024, after the group had branched off of Mr. Adedeji’s ATLANTA FX group on the Organization of Black Screenwriters. Jacquetta Farrar summoned the team and had devised a plan to build a table of her own, where we all grow. The team aims to craft meaningful and avant-garde stories with diverse casts, colorful settings, and across different media. Each IP belongs to the creator, and the team comes on to consult, produce, and aid in the writing or rewriting process.
