The CW Room
The Creators Writing Room – a community built by Jason Kyle (CBS & Sony Pictures) and Lee Aronsohn (Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory) hosts Co-Pilots: analyses of TV Pilots scene by scene live on Zoom. It’s really entertaining and the community comes and watches. In the chats, you’ll connect with other people doing the same work you do and raise interesting points you may not always catch in the pilot. Recently they hosted a Pilot Breakdown of Reservation Dogs on FX.
I’ve been following them for about over a year and they’ve been really awesome during the pandemic. Check out them here. Lee’s an oldhead and Jason is hip and with the times, so their dynamic really makes the show. Subscribe to their mailing list to get the most out of the site.
They also offer 1-on-1 Coaching, TV Pitch Help, and there’s a retreat in November (6th and 7th) where creators can focus on Writing in the Writers Room and Pitching and Developing new Projects. Early Bird Special ends on September 30th, for a discount on tuition!
CAPE Fellowship 2022

The CAPE New Writer Fellowship is for emerging talent and helps launch careers in Television and Film. It is currently run by Leo Chu (Showrunner, Writer, Producer; Supah Ninjas, Afro Samurai, Alexa & Katie) and Steve Tao (Vice President of Current Programming at the CW). This champions Asian-American and Pacific Islanders to the pen and empowers them to take charge in this industry. Please share with AAPI friends and peers as this is a great breakout opportunity.

How to get the most from this site
This site’s Tabs most useful to anyone in the industry would be Services, Resources, and Affiliates.
Resources are here to get you into a community, share, and if able to find employment. I implore all women of different races to join the WOC Unite’s JTC List. You get on the list and access you can reach out to potential mentors/collaborators. Oh, I didn’t mention, it’s free for women to join! These are for marginalized communities, so if it doesn’t apply let it fly!
Diverse Representation: This site is amazing. I don’t have an agent yet, but one day I hope it’s off of the list of one’s here.
Your dream team should be Entertainment Attorney, A general Attorney, A Manager, An Literary Agent, and a Financial Advisor/Manager. These will be integral in your journey as a filmmaker.
In my organization, we had Diverse Representation host attorneys, managers, and agents picked by Jaia Thomas the founder of DR, and learned their job is to create new execs that look like us (marginalized peoples). It’s mentorship and business. Check out their site for more information.
If you want my services, check out the Services tab for collabs, coverage, or what have you. All proceeds aren’t for me, they’re for the company and investing in productions of all kinds. So if you’ll have me, I’d be honored to work with you.
Lastly, on Becoming an Affiliate: I created a Google Form in the Affiliates Tab to get responses for those I can host on this site. I plan on marketing hard for other artists. I want you to get business too, so why not form a community and work amongst ourselves. I’ve been thinking about making a Discord server to connect everyone who visits the site together. Until I upgrade the site again, I’ll be limited in access unless you follow the IG page or connect with me on Twitter.
